FCL Components Launches Socket-Type Compatible Relay for PLC Applications (Asia)

SINGAPORE – October 14, 2025 – FCL Components Asia Pte. Ltd., has released the FTR-MYWA, the next generation, a socket-type compatible version of the FTR-MY relay series. The FTR-MYWA was developed for use in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications such as in factory automation equipment. Slim-line relays play a critical role in expanding the usable PLC input and output, providing electrical isolation and enabling safe switching of higher-power loads.

In programmable logic controllers, the relay acts as an interface between the PLC control logic and field devices. Its primary functions include:

• Electrical isolation between low-power PLC electronics and higher-power field circuits
• Voltage and current adaptation between low-power PLC electronics and higher-power field circuits
• Protection of PLC outputs from overloads, short circuits, and transient voltages
• Simplified maintenance, making it easy to replace the relay in the event of a failure

The FTR-MYWA is designed to be quickly and easily plugged into sockets, ensuring fast installation and replacement, with no need for board mounting. This enables end users to optimize their costs.

Because the FTR-MYWA’s terminals are pre-soldered, it may also be used as a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) relay.
