FCL Components Group Publishes an Interim Report for Fiscal Year 2025 to Achieve Carbon Neutrality

The FCL Components Group has been committed to its corporate philosophy of "caring for the environment and conducting better corporate activities," actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from group factories and offices resulting from business activities. In 2024, we formulated a Declaration of Carbon Neutrality as a part of our efforts to address global warming, a global challenge. This declaration outlines goals aligned with the reduction rate level ^(*1) required to achieve the WB2°C target ^(*2) set by the Science Based Targets Initiative ^(*3) .

• FY2030: 46% reduction of the Group’s greenhouse gas emissions compared to FY2023
• FY2050: Achievement of carbon neutrality

We have now summarized our first year of activities and published an intermediate report. To date, we have achieved a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to the base year (FY2013), and we are making steady progress towards the FY2030 goal.

The FCL Components Group has consistently implemented measures to improve energy efficiency and manufacturing processes, promoting energy-saving activities focused on "energy-efficient manufacturing" and "reducing unnecessary energy use." These efforts contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to conventional energy-saving activities, the Group promotes the adoption of renewable energy and the use of non-fossil certificates (designated as renewables) ^(*4) .

While promoting its own reduction activities, the FCL Components Group is also developing products that support its customers in achieving carbon neutrality. For example, the Group is working on various relays that contribute to the growth of green energy markets, including Net Zero Energy House (ZEH), EV/PHV, and their charging components. Another example is wireless sensor units designed for large-scale sensor networks, which help optimize indoor environments and contribute to overall energy savings.
