FCL Components Group to be Carbon Neutral by 2050

FCL Components Group has been continuously implementing measures such as improving energy efficiency, enhancing production processes, and adopting green energy sources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our factories and offices. This effort aligns with the Group’s philosophy of conducting the best corporate activities while enhancing its environmental coexistence.

Building on those efforts, FCL Components Group has set the following goals, which comply with the reduction rate level ^(*1) required to achieve WB 2℃ ^(*2) set by the Science Based Targets Initiative ^(*3).

• FY2030: 46% reduction of the Group’s greenhouse gas emission compared to FY2023
• FY2050: Achievement of carbon neutrality

In addition to conventional energy-saving activities, the Group promotes the introduction of renewable energy and the utilization of non-fossil certificates (designated as renewables) ^(*4).

While promoting its own reduction activities, FCL Components Group is also working on developing products that help its customers achieve carbon neutrality. For example, it is developing various relays which contribute to the promotion of green energy markets such as Net Zero Energy House (ZEH), EV/PHV and their charging components. Another example is wireless sensor units for large-scale sensor networks, which contribute to overall energy savings by managing the indoor environment.
