Fujitsu Components launches the Endurance Line
IoT Smart Building devices
Developed in cooperation with Fujitsu customers, partners and end-users, the Endurance Line has a strong focus on the Smart building solutions that the company regularly brings to market.
The new line-up boasts four new Mesh devices that are not only designed to elegantly blend into the environment, having great flexibility when it comes to installation, but feature traditional Japanese patterns which represent each Endurance Line Smart Building device, taking quality to highest level.

For example, the pattern used for the CO2 environmental sensor is named ‘Asanoha’, which in Japanese means strong vitality and growth.
Thanks to the integrated Mesh technology, the new Endurance Line can be fully battery powered, ensuring installation is quick, easy and cost efficient, meaning it can operate for many years on just four AA batteries, or - if the installation allows it - to be powered by 5V USB.
Designed to market
As an extension on the current portfolio of mesh devices, the design and its mechanical features are based on our customers feedback and requests from the market. This has resulted in the following products in the Endurance Line.
The Fujitsu Mesh Anchor node
A water resistant (IP65), battery or USB powered device that is very flexible when it comes to installation to ensure you have the best performance. It simultaneously works as a reference point for Mesh-based asset tracking, a router node for the infrastructure and also a beacon for indoor navigation.
The Fujitsu Mesh Asset tag
A water resistant (IP65), battery (or USB) powered device with accelerometer sensor and multicolored LED light. As a perfect tag for medium-to-large sized assets, this 3-axis accelerometer sensor can trigger the asset to share its location on movement, or go into deep sleep mode when standing still to extend its already very long battery life even further. Then, a highly visible LED can reduce picking errors or be used for other notification purposes.
The Fujitsu Mesh Sensor unit

As a fully packed unit with sensors, this Mesh device works to monitor environmental conditions. It’s battery or USB powered, has an IP65 water resistant rating, and is easy to install. Onboard, you’ll find the following sensors:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Barometric pressure
- Luminance
- 3-axis Acceleration
- Sound level
It also touts a multicolored LED that can be used to identify certain conditions by blinking in different colours and rhythms.
The Fujitsu Mesh Environment Sensor
This unit is specifically developed for the high demands in todays crowded environments such as class rooms, meeting areas, office departments and public buildings; areas where the air quality is contributing to the health, physical concentration and comfort of its users.
It incorporates a CO2 sensor, which sits on top of all the sensors of the sensor unit. It’s both water resistant and USB-powered for ultimate installation flexibility while maintaining the reliability of a continued power supply.
Imagine the possibilities
The challenges these days is making the work environment as convenient as possible for employees, customers and visitors, but also to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The Endurance Line and the Mesh technology connecting them, contributes in achieving all of the above.
Creating a building-wide battery powered Mesh network can be both quick and easy to do by using the Fujitsu Mesh Anchor node. Indoor or outdoor, this forms the basic network for a smart building. From the get-go, the Anchor nodes become the reference points for performing asset tracking with less than 5 meters of accuracy, meaning no more searching around for valuable assets and not knowing your inventory. Then, the Fujitsu Mesh Asset node can be easily attached to objects that need to be tracked within and around a building.
The wellbeing of our children at school, our colleagues on the production floor or in the office, and the recovering patients in hospitals, are more important now than ever before. The Fujitsu Mesh Environment Sensor monitors all the influences that impact our health, from CO2 levels to identify if the ventilation is good, to temperature, humidity and barometric pressure to adjust the climate and provide comfort. Then, the luminance sensor gives information on the light intensity in rooms and makes more efficient use of luminaires possible and to save energy.
The unique combination of the above sensors, along with noise monitoring, can help to create a pleasant environment for all users.
