FCL Components Achieves IATF16949 Certification for Automotive Charging Relays
FCL Components has announced that the factory in Japan where it manufacturers FTR-K1-AM relays for automotive chargers is IATF16949 certified. Many automotive makers around the world have adopted IATF16949 as a procurement standard.
The FTR-K1-AM series is a power relay with a 20A-277VAC carrying current, which meets requirements for the normal charging AC line of an electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle on-board charger. The FTR-K1-AM relay excels in vibration and shock resistance as well as long operation lifetime.
IATF16949 is a quality management system designed to improve the quality of automotive parts by preventing non-conformance and reducing quality variation and waste. By using the FTR-K1-AM manufactured under this standard, automotive device manufacturers can ensure a certain level of quality starting from the component level.
The FTR-K1-AM series is usable in ambient temperatures of 105°C and incorporates UL insulation class F insulation materials and UL94V-0 plastic materials. It uses a through hole type PC board mounting relay with 15.7mm height and 368mm2 mounting area. Flux free and plastic sealed types are available..
FCL Components will continue to expand our lineup of highly reliable, high-performance relays that can be used in automotive equipment.
