Fujitsu Offers Upgraded Clear Film Option for Touch Panels (Americas)

Film enhanced for a sharper, brighter, smoother user experience

SAN JOSE, Calif. – October 24, 2023 – Fujitsu Components America, Inc. now offers the option of Clear Film V2 on all of its resistive touch panels, including light input force Feather Touch and Full Flush Surface structure panels, as well as on custom-designed resistive touch panels.

Available on all Fujitsu's resistive touch panels, this newest, improved version of the clear film provides excellent image clarity and transmittance--better than that delivered by its predecessor. Any haze typical of traditional PET film is eliminated, with images and text appearing entirely sharp and without distortion. Image clarity achieved via this film is now 100% on par with image clarity afforded by PCAPs using a glass material.

Clear Film V2 also emits less glare compared to older iterations of the product, yielding even more ease of visibility. Meanwhile, a smoother surface allows for easier finger navigation with no noticeable resistance.

Selecting Clear Film V2 for use on Feather Touch touch panels with a flush surface structure makes the units 100% comparable to PCAPs. What’s more, in addition to reaping the benefits of the new film, customers that opt to utilize it in combination with existing resistive touch panels from Fujitsu enjoy the same advantages and customization opportunities, without creating entirely new touch panels. Such advantages from the simplified detecting mechanism include universal input support, swipe-and-flick/dual touch capabilities and the elimination of false inputs should liquid droplets come into contact with the surface.

The film suits a variety of applications, among them medical and measuring equipment, factory automation, and tool machines.
